"Do unto others as you would have them to do unto you... "
This golden ammo can cache was a surprise gift to us from a group of CSRA geocachers. We were really surprised, since we are not social cachers (and had never attended an event when they came up with the idea) and did not focus on a special cache for our 1000th (but enjoyed a wonderful visit to a state park in California when we reached and passed the golden mark). The generosity and positive energy from the CSRA cachers was truly overwhelming. They hid the golden ammo can in a natural spot for us to find. It was filled to the brim with amazing treasures and kind words.
It was our goal as soon as we were aware of this surprise to re-place the cache in another beautiful natural area for other cachers to seek and find. We knew that OddAngles was the ringleader of this effort. One of our favorite caches is their "Sanctuary" cache at the Silver Bluff Audubon Sanctuary in South Carolina. With over 3,000 acres and many miles of trails, our first thought was to acknowledge OddAngles' contribution by placing another cache in this special location.
We are very grateful to the management of the Silver Bluff Audubon Center & Sanctuary for giving us permission to place this cache.
