Örnberget kallas en bergsknalle öster om Tullingesjön. Cachen ligger uppe på berget. Härifrån har man en storslagen utsikt över Tullingesjön och omgivningarna.
På Örnberget ligger en fornborg från vikingatiden. Man ser tydliga rester av en skyddande mur i öster, i väster har naturen fixat skyddet. Fornborgen tros ha använts som försvarsanläggning i orostider.
Cachen kan nås från två håll. Från öster, via Örnbergsvägen, då måste endast fornborgsmuren passeras. Eller, från väster, via Tullinge strand. Då stiger svårighetsgraden markant för här krävs klätterutrustning och kunskap. (Klätterinfo på www.sverigeforaren.se/index.php/Örnberget).
Berget gör dessutom själ för namnet. Vi hade turen att få se en havsörn segla över sjön när vi positionsbestämde cachen.

Örnberget, (the Eagle hill), is the name of a hill east of Tullinge lake. The cache is plased on top of the hill. There is a great view over the sea and the surroundings from here.
Örnberget have served as defence installation for the Vikings. You can see clear remainders of a defence wall in the east, in the west the protection is arranged by the nature.
The cache can be reached from two directions. From the east, via the street “Örnbergsvägen”, from this direction you only have to pass the wall. Or, from the west, via street “Tullinge strand”. This is a more difficult way where climbing gear and experience is needed. (Information about the climbing at www.sverigeforaren.se/index.php/Örnberget).
The name of the hill is very suitable. We were lucky to spot a White-tailed Eagle from here.
