I drove past this spot last time down this way and thought I spied boulders similar to the ones nearby at Moeraki, but I didn't have time to stop and check it out. Today as I was passing again I did stop and sure enough there are boulders the same as the ones further up the coast but perhaps these ones are newer as they are still in "Whole" condition.
Parking is available directly opposite GZ or a little further along the road.
Take time to stroll along the beach for a close up view.
GZ is a tiny grassy area that overlooks the boulders laying on the sandy beach below, there is an obvious marker post to make the cache an easy drive by. Surprisingly scattered around GZ is small Daffodils which were flowering when the cache was placed.
The cache was a "Make-Do", made up from items found in the vehicle, but does contain the usual logging items and several items to trade (Fair please). In the near future on my next trip past I will modify the cache hide to a more appropriate theme ;) In the meantime due to extreme exposure to the wind/sea please ensure the Rock is placed back on top of the cache, thankyou.
