Kvasir Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

cervisvenator: Hi

While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

If the owner wants it reopened, send me an e-mail and I’ll be happy to unarchive the cache listing if it still satisfies the requirement/guidelines.

(This reviewer note is in English so non-Norwegian cache owners, geocachers and cache reviewers can understand what it says.)

Thanks for your understanding,
Cervis Venator

Geocache Description:

Norsk:
Kvasirs historie

Kvasir history

Kvasir is a Norwegian search engine. The name Kvasir herits from Norse mythology. The God Kvase was a wise man created from vaners and æsers saliva, and he could answer any question. The two dvarfen brothers Fjaler and Galer killed him and made a drink of his blood mixed with honey. Anyone who drank this became a skald.

Kvasir dates back to 1995 and is Norway's first search engine and also one of Norway's oldest Internet services (i.e. Google was not founded before 1998). The total number of webpages were only 23 500 worldwide. Netscape is the leading browser. The same year Dagbladet and the Vatikan is launches their homepages.

From the cache you can see Kvasir head office at Skullerud.
