Welcome to Sweetser
Indiana, where a geocache has been hidden on Main
Street.
Sweetser is a town in Grant County, Indiana, United States.
The population was 857 at the 2006 census.
Sweetser is located on State Road 18 between Converse and the
Marion.
Running through the edge of Sweetser is Pipe Creek. Pipe
Creek can be seen from the Sweetser Switch Trail, a paved Rails to
Trails feature that runs through town for the use of bicyclists,
cross country skiers, runners, wheel chairs. One of the original
trains that ran on the tracks is located at the beginning of the
trail. A new addition to the trail is a statue of one of Grant
County’s celebrities, Garfield. Sweetser is home to the artist,
Eric Reaves, who assisted creator Jim Davis on the comic
strip.
