What a view!
With my mountain climbing background, this cache was a natural. Since this is one of the highest mountains in all of Kansas, it's not a climb for the faint hearted. I never made it to top myself but I'm sure there's a view looking down to Exploration, the river, downtown and another unnamed mountain across the street - it may even be higher! I recommend buddy climbing and not in the winter because the mountain is surely snow capped. If you summit carrying a Wichita flag, post the pic! No special equipment is necessary but if you do decide on ropes, ladders, crampons, oxygen bottles etc. Post a picture, I want to see that! Please BYOP. I replaced the cache with a fresh one but I couldn't find the old one. So if you find the new and the old you get credit for two! 06/11/17: The cache wasn't in the original position but I found it and replaced the log. It's still pretty easy to find despite the bitter conditions of altitude and weather....good luck! 12/20/19: new cache, the old was still there so now there are 2 caches. They're in different locations but nearby each other. Should make finding a cache easier. Watch out for Yeti and Frosty.
