Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Hardwick Woods but this area is more
commonly known as Cot Hill due to the presence of the televison
transmittor.

Hardwick Wood is an ancient woodland situated on a hilltop location
on the outskirts of Plymouth and Plympton village. It is highly
prominent in the landscape. The west end has suffered storm damage
in the past, and the replanting gives a great opportunity to see
young woodland. The more sheltered eastern end of the wood was
little affected by the gales and consists of a mature Oak Ash and
Beech high forest. The wood is criss-crossed by a network of wide
grass rides, and narrow paths.

Access to the woods is gained via the B3147. Enter the woods
through the wooden gate and walk up the steep incline until you
reach the highest point within the woods.
