Geocache Description:

Located in the Agua Fria National Monument near the abondoned Richinbar Mine.

(To the FTF: I placed a Teletubbies TB in the cache, but the dog tag somehow became detached. Make sure to grab both parts if you take it)

The Monument is a spectacular area that sees little use by the general public....which is probably a good thing. The views seen in the area could be described as a mini Grand Canyon. The reason it's little seen is because you need to work to see it....the views are not visible from the freeway.

The cache is hidden near the abandoned Richinbar Mine a former Au-Ag-Pb-Cu mine. For those not chemically inclinded, that gold, silver, lead, and copper. Although all of the open pits I observed were fenced, you still must be careful in the area.

The difficulty of the hike will depend in your approach. Be sure to follow all the rules for the Agua Fria National Monument. Do not remove anything from the monument and respect any flora, fauna, or ruins you may come across.

One way to access the area is via the Agua Fria National Monument parking area at the Badger Springs Rd. exit off of I-17. I'll leave the rest up to you.
