Park at the trail head to the Savona Caves. Take the trail to the caves...the cache is hidden off the trail. About half way up to the caves go off the trail to the North, up to the top of the steep knoll. From this point you can see the caves...nice place for lunch too!
The cache is easy to find once a the coordinates. It's in an old chocolate tin box...sorry it's not marked on the outside. It was our first cache and missed this detail.
When climbing to the knoll stay to the sounthern exposed hillside, there is less bush to trek through. Must say the slope is steep, unmarked and not ideal for small kids.
Once at the top the view of the caves and valley below is great. You might also spot some green rocks that almost look like jade.
