Geocache Description:

New Mexico is known as the Land of Enchantment. The attraction includes both natural and man-made objects of beauty. Wherever you travel in New Mexico, you will find crosses. This cache is the seventh in a series based on New Mexico’s crosses and churches.

The listed coordinates will lead you to the peak of the roof at the Saint Paul Lutheran Church on Indian School Road in Albuquerque. Obviously, the cache is not located there, but you can use the coordinates to get a look at the church on Google Maps or Google Earth. The church has an interesting history. The Rev. William Rosenstengel, a missionary for the Nebraska Synod, organized St. Paul Lutheran Church with 22 charter members in April 1891. Originally, it was located at 6th Street and Silver. Several decades later, the congregation approved the relocation of its church facilities to its current location on Indian School Road. The building has a very unique architectural design featuring a tower with 2 crosses visible from different angles. Details on the history can be found on the church website @ http://www.stpaulabq.org/.

To find the actual cache location, move back 277 feet from the listed coordinates and stand in the spot where the picture was taken. There, you will also find a small cache with a log and room for small trade items. Bring your own writing instrument.
