Geocache Description:


I was riding the bus home one evening and after passing through downtown we stopped in front of what I remember as a beautiful oasis. In that moment I thought what I great place for a cache.

We came back and looked around. This "oasis" turned out to be a City park dedicated to Alene Dunlap Smith who was a community preservation leader. There is a plaque on the southern wall. This should be a nice place to rest and relax from the hustle and bustle of the urban jungle.

This is a very easy cache. We just want people to come out and see places like this.

The park is closed from sunset to 7am everyday. Do not park in the lot directly north of the park as it is private property. Why not park a ways a way and enjoy a stroll down this lane? Please respect the area as there are still residences nearby.
