This event will be one small part of the WWFM-IV (World-Wide Flash
Mob event – see below). This event and all others around the globe
in their respective time zone will begin precisely at 2 pm on
Saturday, November 8th, 2008.
This Flash Mob Geocache event will last exactly 15 minutes – not
a second longer. You MUST be present and sign a log sheet DURING
this time to claim this event.
For those that don’t know - A Flash Mob is a large group of
people who assemble suddenly in a public place, do something
unusual for a brief period of time, and then quickly disperse.
ITINERARY:
1:45 PM - 1:59 PM - Participants wait patiently and/or stroll
around the area. STAY AWAY from ground zero until the signal is
given. Best as you can, act like a muggle, pretend not to know each
other or give any indication that something is about to
happen.
At 1:59 PM slowly begin to move towards ground zero.
2:00 PM – everyone will converge right at ground zero. Log slips
in hand, some will be available - Bring your own pen or pencil.
Sign individual log slip and drop it in the collection box. Next -
turn to someone close by and “swag swap” or trade “trackables” if
you so chose.
2:08 PM – Group picture takes place. Listen carefully and follow
all directions given by photographer quickly as to where to line
up.
2:12 PM - The event meal will be held, and mingling can take
place. The FTF name drawing will be held.
2:14 PM - One minute warning is called "It is now 2:14!" Prepare
to leave. Organizers seal up log container for transport.
2:15 PM EXACTLY – Everyone leave immediately! Meet elsewhere if
desired.
This event will be held rain or shine – please come prepared for
the elements.
There will be prizes for those sporting fall geocaching colours
(Hunter Orange) seems like it is the NS theme this time
