Five geocachers living in the same house hid their geoswag in
individual safes, to which only they had the three-digit
combination. From the clues given below, can you work out the three
digits of each geocacher’s combination, all of which consisted of
different combinations of the digits 0 to 4 inclusive.
Clues:
1. No digit occurs more than once in any geocacher’s
combination, and each appears just once in each position.
2. To gain access to his safe Trustey has to begin by dialing a
zero.
3. Neither Wise nor Loyell has a 3 in his combination of
numbers.
4. Parfitt’s first digit is two higher than his third.
5. The geocacher whose first digit is a 2 does not follow it
with a 3 when he goes to open his safe.
6. The third digit Sphinx has to dial is two lower than the
second digit of Wise’s combination; the latter’s three digits read
in ascending order, though they are not all consecutive.
7. Trustey’s second digit is higher than Sphinx’s first.
