Geocache Description:

Wooded area behind Mexico High School, foot paths through the woods that were made by the Boy Scout Troop 38 in 1974 called the Chinkapin Trails.

During the 45th MHS Class Reunion, Oct. 10-11, 2008 the class decided to place a cache near the Mexico High School. This cache is behind the Lawrence Shelter House. It is plastic container wrapped with camo tape filled with items donated the night of the reunion. Inside is a '56 Chevy travel bug. His plan is to tour the USA and be
back to Mexico, Missouri in time for the 50th in 2013. Please help our little classic car get started. Please watch your step as the trails have become root bound and hard to walk on. The cache lies about 30 feet off one of the paths. If it has rained recently the path can be slippery
