Geocache Description:

I live in Creston, but was born and raised in Vernon. I've driven back and forth many times through the years, and regardless of which way I'm going, this point is half way home (roughly).

Turn north off of highway 3 just west of the Eholt summit at N49° 09.248' W118° 32.718'. Cross a cattle guard and you will see a parking area at N 49° 09.306' W 118° 32.637'. The information board explains that this spot is part the Columbia and Western Rail Trail. From the parking area, it is a five minute stroll to the cache. I placed this cache at Thanksgiving, and bet that during the summer the bugs (mosquitoes) will be out of control.

I'm not sure if it will help much, but the cache is also located about 17 paces from N 49° 09.303' W 118° 32.777' on a bearing between 210° and 240°.

I thought it would be nice to do a "movie exchange" cache, so I have deposited 3 movies to start: Rush Hour (DVD), Six Degrees of Separation (DVD), and Clerks (DVD). Of course, there is also a log book, pencil, and sharpener. I look forward to seeing some signatures in the logbook, and some different movies in the future! One good thing about this cache: no late charges!
