Blue Blazes Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
Located in Black Creek Park, in the Town of Chili, Monroe County, in Western New York, about 10 miles west of Rochester.
The cache is a .30 cal ammo can painted flat black, and concealed above ground level about 50 feet from a marked trail, no bushwhacking required except at the very end. It should be accessible year-round, but the surrounding area may be wet or muddy in late winter and early spring; appropriate footwear is recommended.
The cache has a few trade goodies for starters, mostly stuff I dug out of my desk, no kid stuff (small camera bag, re-writable blank CDs, circle template, etc).
The cache is named for the old expression of frustration for a missing item or person, such as "Where in blue blazes is it!", and also gives a not-very-helpful clue to the caches location.
