Tired of naming a cache after the pond nearby, I (erycka), decided to give this cache an original and unique name. Just that I could never figure out one.
Located near Lovell’s Pond. Walk straight to the pond first to have a scenic view and then go to cache.
About the pond:
Lovells Pond is a 56 acre natural kettle hole pond with an average depth of 19 feet and a maximum depth of 37 feet. It is located in the Santuit section of the town of Barnstable. The 1.1 miles of shoreline is moderately developed with homes, a town beach and cranberry bogs.
Please use the parking spot we recommend and don‘t try to reach it from the residences nearby. Also if you find another LEGAL space to park that lead you trough the trails, feel free to post it. It will be useful for the summer time, this one is a resident sticker parking. It will be better to do after hours or off season. Bushwalking the last 15 ft.
