Geocache Description:

Located in lovely Bedford a short distance off the trail though some trees. There is a bit of a bank to climb down so be careful and don't slip on wet grass. Please Park at the road, don't take your car down the trail...

In the days of trains here on PEI, Bedford had a train station. Daily trains would pass by and drop feed, supplies and mail to the Bedford station. Over the last 20 or so years the trains where running, financial problems made for poor track maintenance and train speed was no more then a crawl because of the risk of derailments. Locals remember the train well because it was such a big part of their farming type community.

The old Bedford station still exists it has been moved after sitting empty after the tracks where torn up. You can see it where it sits today; directly across the road from where it was. find where the trail crosses over highway 6. It now has orange metal siding on it and a blue roof. It now contains a body shop and mechanic business.

The cache container is easy to spot and should be a quick find.

As of 10/16/08 The cache contains:
- 3 funnels
- First aid kit
- 2 rare earth magnets
- Chess Game
- 3 packages of zip ties
- Logbook and Pencil
