Geocache Description:


Cliff Drive, the first urban Scenic Byway in the State, is located in the Historic Northeast section of Kansas City. The drive twists and turns along the limestone cliffs high above the Missouri river through the wooded isles of one of Kansas City's oldest parks, Kessler Park. Originally built for Sunday rides in horse-and-buggy, Cliff Drive is now used by joggers, walkers, bicyclists, skaters and more, as well as the auto-tourist.

PLEASE NOTE: May 16th - October 27th are car-free weekends on Cliff Drive. The Gates at Gladstone, Paseo, KC Museum, and Reservoir entries will close at 2:00pm Friday and re-open at 8:00am Monday to allow for bikers, walkers, hikers, and runners to enjoy the area for the weekends without automotive intrusion.

This cache is a quick park-n-grab along a very scenic stretch of Cliff Drive. It reminds us of the backroads of Upstate New York in some ways.

You'll be looking for a small lock-n-lock container. We stocked it oringally with miniature keys, but will not be restocking it with swag. The container can accept small coins or TBs.

Permission has been obtained from the Kansas City Parks & Rec Dept. - North Division Director for this placement.
