Geocache Description:

This is my first cache and I want to make it a good one!

This traditional cache is located along The Path, a linear “park” that provides a walking/bike trail from downtown Atlanta to Stone Mountain. The cache is just a few steps from a “Pocket Park” that is a popular spot for resting travelers because there are benches and a map of The Path. The cache is not in the Pocket Park but close by.

There is a neighborhood whose entrance is in sight of the park. It’s a cute neighborhood (my neighborhood) that was built in the late 70’s. The houses are all Victorian in style and it’s called The Briers after the Joel Chandler Harris’ Uncle Remus stories about Brer Rabbit..

Brer ("Brother") Rabbit is a trickster character in folktales of African, African-American, and Native American Culture. Brer Rabbit is the consummate trickster, who typically matches wits with Brer Fox, whom he always bests. The Native American tribes of the eastern seaboard of the United States also have a tradition of incorporating the Rabbit as a trickster in their myths and legends.

The original contents of the cache:
Log Book / pen
Red Velvet bag with clay poker chips and a wooden nickel
A minature dauschund charm
½ of a pair of Dice
HauntedAtlanta sticker
A crystal
A bag of fortune cookie fortunes, “Choose Your Fortune”

~~Way to go Team BnF, lilkv & simulacra for FTF!!
