The Hole View

A walk through the woods or up the hill for a nice view of some of
 Mother Nature's handiwork.  

The Catherine Creek area has some nice views and this is one of them. I was taking the girls for a walk and decided this needed a cache so more people could see it. Once you park at the Catherine Creek trailhead you can reach the cache from two different directions. One way is to head straight up the hill on Trail 015. Just after the trail goes through the clump of trees the main trail heads to the left but there is a smaller trail that goes to the right. Follow that trail towards the edge of the bluff and then up the hill to the cache site. Once you leave the cache site you can head north about 50 feet and then take a small trail down the hill and hit a trail that will take you back towards the trailhead. The other way to get to the cache is to take the trail to the right from the parking area, Trail 020. Follow the trail until the split where one trail goes up the hill and the other goes across the creek. Go straight up the hill until you come to some old spools of barbed wire. Your GPS should be pointing to the left. There is a small and kind of steep trail heading up the hill to the cache site. This the same trail you could come down with the other get to directions. Enjoy the exercise and the view. The cache is an ammo can with some nice goodies in it and a coin for FTF. Chloefind scooped another FTF.
