Geocache Description:

Forde Abbey was founded over 800 years ago by Cistercian monks. After the Dissolution in 1539 it lay empty for 100 years before being transformed into the family home & award winning gardens it is today - open to the public and home to the tallest powered fountain in England.

Here is a two cache series to take you around the Abbey without entering the grounds and leading you to a bonus cache - a local map showing the Jubilee Trail may be useful

Walking to this cache from the suggested parking will give you a fine view towards the Abbey to the North, through the formal Ride.

Please park sensibly, see the waypoint below for recommended location and take care not to block any field entrances. Although this is a quiet country lane please take all reasonable care accessing the cache.

This cache is a camouflaged tupperware beaker and originally contained:

FTF Certificate + token
2TF/3TF tokens

half of the location information for the bonus cache

plus small swaps :
Skull jibet
GPS badge
Red rubber critter
Bee peg

FTF kudos to Evil Step Mother & Boggin's Dad
