Geocache Description:

(12/26/21) REPLACED AGAIN! Bring your own pen for this one!
Recent DNFs and the comment about poison ivy led me to change the location of the final. The "formula" below has been revised to reflect that change. The area has a lot more muggle activity than when the cache was originally placed. It's still doable but will require more stealth. I've been there at various times, and there were always people around! And this will be quite tricky with snow on the ground! Difficulty has been upgraded to reflect changes.

THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES, although all stages are within a mile or so of these coordinates.

Small towns often hide various locations of historic interest. Bellefonte is no exception. The "history lessons" highlighted in this cache will hopefully help increase appreciation for a town that is often overlooked because of its proximity to a more well-known, larger neighboring town.

Study each History Lesson below to find the clues that will lead to the "Final Exam." Visit each lesson site, and take the "quiz" for each lesson. Your responses will be used to pass the Final Exam and find the cache. There is no need to visit the lessons in any particular order, nor are they listed in any particular order. All are within walking distance of each other, although the distance (and the incline!) is greater between some than others. Parking is readily available for all the lessons, but muggles abound at most of them.

The final location reveals another little known fact about Bellefonte's place in history. Please be careful to replace the Final Exam cache container securely.
