Geocache Description:

It is situated close to the village of Burnaston (on a no through road that leads to the mighty Toyota site (no entry!) – and there are various footpaths that allow connections to other caches. You can even get there from the A38 if you are heading NORTH ONLY…but you will need sat-nav to find the place (and a hairpin back on yourself to get on the afore-mentioned no through road)

This cache is located in an area of public footpath that is pretty obscure I should say. In fact it is one of the routes I have rarely pursued leading to Etwall.

The cache is near a little pond – which you can see marked on the OS 1: 25 000 series – in trees.

If – like me - you enjoy exploring the various footpaths in the area then you may chose to come from either direction of Etwall (having just done so I recommend – if coming this way – long trousers are a must: there are many “stingers” along the path!!)
Or Burnaston: where the cache site nearly constitutes a cache/dash (but frankly you will need to put your wellies on – so a bit less of a dash!) and will take you less than two minutes to get to from this direction…along a nice little path (I hope you will agree).

You can park very near but this will be on the verges (or further up towards another cache site)…afterall there is no through traffic to block…but still: please be thoughtful about this.

Finally: although the cache is close to water there is really no danger…but be careful anyway!
