A reminder for how it came about... back when I lived in Ohio a
fellow cacher set up a monthly event for local geocachers called
Sittin Around; Talkin Cache. Tragically he passed away far
too young, but his event lives on. He was called Sherwood Forest,
he was an ambassador to all that Geocaching represents. ! I always
said I would set up these events in his honour; a gentle giant,
always willing to help, and made everyone feel welcome.
So do join us if you can at the Berrow Inn; no agenda, trade bugs,
coins or just talk caching or whatever you like.
On to practicalities: The pub is child friendly, opens from 12pm
'till 12am at weekends and serves food from 6pm 'till 9pm.
The pub is planning fireworks at 9.30pm and we can use the kid
friendly skittle alley; hopefully any little ones will not get too
bored and have a good night too.
The pub has been refurbished so has a large dining room; as
children are welcome we hold the event in the restaurant rather
than the bar; unfortunately that means dogs can't join us; but
there is an outside covered area if it is not too cold.
The entrance to the restaurant is through the double doors to the
right of the main entrance.
The pub has recently changed its menu...a copy is shown below;
please let us know by Wednesday 13th if you are planning on eating;
just to give them an idea out of courtesy!
