Geocache Description:

Troop 265 Trail to Eagle Caches.

This is a series of caches, created by Boy Scout Troop 265, in Lawrenceburg. They are dedicated and inspired by the ranks of the Scout Program, which go from Scout, to Tenderfoot, 2nd Class, 1st Class, Star, Life and Eagle, in that order. In order to become an Eagle Scout, you pass through each of the preceding ranks, gaining experience and skills.

The final cache, representing the Eagle Scout rank, is a mystery cache. In each cache, in addition to the log book, you will find information like this:

N 3X.XX.XXX and one of the Xs will be replaced with another letter.

W 08X.XX.XXX and one of the Xs will be replaced with another letter.

And you will also get two parts of the key, such as A=1 and B=2. Only by going to all six caches in the series will you be able to find the final cache unless you happen to be very, very, lucky.

Most of these caches are large enough for some swag, and the final cache will have a special geocoin for the first to find. Each of the coordinates was averaged by no less than four different GPSrs at different times and conditions.

Now on to the cache!!

This is the fifth of the series, representing the Star Rank. While a Star Scout, the boy has many responsibilities. The Slogan “Do A Good Turn Daily” has become more important. Community service helps the boy scout to learn skills to live up to the slogan. You don’t need to get paid for everything you do. Doing things for free can give you a great feeling inside. We make it a routine to come to this location annually to help others who are less fortunate. This is the 5th point in this series.

The other caches in this series are:

GC1HCGY- Scout
GC1HCF8- Tenderfoot
GC1HCFJ- Second Class
GC1HCFV- First Class
GC1HCG3- Star
GC1HCGC- Life
GC1HCGY- Eagle
