CACHE IS NOT AT POSTED COORDINATES, but this is a good place to park. Apologies to all you paperless cachers out there; you may want to print this out and bring a pencil to do some math.
For this cache, we thought we'd take you on a nice little walk in our neighborhood. Only a bit of it is on residential streets, and some of it has very nice views. You might even see some wildlife. Do this on a clear, sunny day for optimal effect.
Since it is in a residential neighborhood, please be as inconspicuous as possible and respectful of the muggles and their property. Please don't do this at night or you might arouse too many suspicions. The cache itself is away from houses and should be an easy grab if there aren't too many muggles about.
Total walking distance is approximately .6 miles. It is all paved (except maybe for the final grab), but the walk from the cache location to the parking area is mostly uphill.
The parking area is by a small playground. If you are bringing little ones, allow extra time for this. Four-legged friends are also welcome on this walk, but please take advantage of the DogiPot at WP1 and clean up after them.
The final cache is at N 47° 05.ABC, W 122° 39.XYZ
A = ____ B = ____ C = ____
X = ____ Y = ____ Z = ____
Parking: N 47° 05.866, W 122° 39.866
Find a nearby speed limit sign.
Y = First digit in speed limit.
Walk downhill on Jensen to WP1.
WP1: N 47° 5.888, W 122° 39.842
Look for the nearest street sign.
C = The last digit on the "Wallace St" sign.
Follow path to WP2. Enjoy views of the little reservoir, local wildlife, the golf course, and if you're lucky, the Olympic mountains. Be sure to count the number of houses you pass on the right along the path until you get to WP2.
WP2: N 47° 05.880 W 122° 39.647
H = the number of houses you passed on your right along the path = ____
W = the number of short wooden posts at this location = ____
Z = H - W
Make a left and head to the street corner.
WP3: N 47° 5.884, W 122° 39.602
Look for the nearest street signs.
X = Sum of the digits on "Wallace St" sign.
Walk down Ogden to WP4.
WP4: N 47° 5.940, W 122° 39.590
P = The number of short wooden posts at this location = ____
A = P x P (or P squared)
Walk towards the water to WP5.
WP5: N 47° 5.963, W 122° 39.665
Look for an object that has the name of a country on it.
If that country is USA, then B = 0
If that country is China, then B = 1
If that country is India, then B = 7
If that country is France, then B = 6
If that country is Djibouti, then B = 5
Cache has a little room for small tradeables.
After making the find you can retrace your steps to get back to the parking area, but a quicker way would be to continue on the path, make a left at the street, and go up the hill.
