Geocache Description:

Replacement cache for the original Sawgrass Bridge that was muggled.

This cache is so different from the one I had here that I'm making it a new cache. It is also about 300 feet away from where the old one was.

Florida National Scenic Trail. One of eight in the country. If you are so inclined you can start here and go to Miami or Pensacola on foot. Follow the orange blazes and bring some water.

Park next to the big metal power pole. It is a short .15 mile hike if you are only going to the cache. Unfortunately there is no heinous bushwhacking involved. This area can be very wet. Bring bug spray. I had bug spray on and still brought home two ticks.

The long foot bridge was built by volunteers from the Florida Trail Association. They also maintain the trails. As you walk across the bridge there is a lot of sawgrass hanging over it. Be careful with it as you walk by it. It will cut you.

Be sure to get Lockwood Knockwood and Magnetix while you are here. Also take the time to search for Sputnik 13 Nuclear Core.
