The cache is NOT at the above coordinates. This is my first try at
a mystery cache. when you log your find please let me know what you
think. Its all about Deep Space
The celestial sphere's reference grid is analogus to Longitude and Latitude but is called Right Ascension and Declination
respectively. The right ascension is split into twenty-four parts
called sidereal hours and tells us an objects position in east to west direction. It also provides information as to which time of year the object is visible. Declination tells us the objects location in the north-south orientation. Each deep sky object has a fixed set of Celestial Coordinates.
The other essential element to navigiating the sky is the organization of deep sky objects into various catalogs. The most famous being the Messier catalog with 110 of the most brightest and spectacular objects. The other two catalogs mostly uesd are the NGC new general catalog and the IC
index catalog. altogether the catalogs contain 13,226 deep sky objects. Using the celestial coordinates below to discover what deep sky objects go with the coordinates. Then using the first number of the catalog name for the deep sky object for ABCDEF.
