Very quick and easy cache.
A good parking place is Balfluers St in Milngavie. N 55 56.532 W 004 18.434 Only a couple of minutes walk from here. This cache is located near the "Dovecote" it was shown briefly in 1985 on the Taggart series episode 1 called Dead Ringer, in the episode it was described as a grain silo where it was used as a lovers tryst.
The Doocot was part of the immense Dougalston estate from Victorian times, the birds were used as a source of food and also the eggs were eaten.
Unlike when the Taggart episode was filmed there many years ago, the Dovecote has now been engulfed by the expanding golf course, the cache is located a few metres from the road next to the golf course.
You can cross the course to the Dovecote but please respect the golfers game and keep clear of the course during play.
