Restin' In Ebenezer Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

DRMOO: Was a nice container (hand built) but it went for a walk. Now archive this site and hope another CO will place a new cache nearby. DRMOO thanks the many finders over the last several years for liking this hide and making encouraging comments.

Geocache Description:

Have fun finding this one in a pioneer cemetery.

This Pioneer Cemetery commemorates the arrival of Irish pioneers from Londonderry, Irland in 1831.

This continues the series of caches called "Restin'" in the area west of Lake Simcoe.
We recently visited a series of caches like this East of the Lake and enjoyed the history we hope you do too. We realize that "Cemetery Caches" are not for everyone, so if this is not for you we have lots of other caches close by for you to seek.
This cemetery located along Yonge Street contains history back to mid 1850s according to headstone dates. Lovely view all around of rolling hills and a great view of both sunrise and sunset on clear days.
Please respect this resting place as you explore the history.
The container is small, containing only a log book so please bring your own pencil/pen.

CAUTION: YONGE STREET IS VERY BUSY HIGHWAY. PARK WELL OFF TO THE SIDE AND WATCH FOR TRAFFIC.
