Geocache Description:

This is another cache in the Faded Markers Series. This series will mainly focus on older, near forgotten burial plots of pioneers in the Niagara Region and beyond. The goal of this series is not necessarily the length of the walk nor the difficulty of the find, but rather a simple reverence for those who came before us to shape our area.

The Davidson family originally owned Lot 4 Concession 6 Nelson Township. The 1877 Historical Atlas of Halton shows the land owned by the Campbells at that time. This may account for the joint cemetery name. Often early settlers would set aside a corner of their farm for a cemetery. A small frame Wesleyan Methodist Church was also located on this lot. It may have been first known as Cline's, but later referred to as Davidson's.

Watch your step, there's not much room here. This cache was placed to give a Scout Troop some experience caching while hiking their way back to Mount Nemo Scout Camp from a morning of rappelling at Rattlesnake Point. The container is small, camo'd and possibly fragile. Please let me know if the cache needs maintenance and it will be dealt with quickly. Please exercise caution and reverence when searching.
