Geocache Description:

The 'Old Chautauqua Road' is the oldest road to traverse Cattaraugus County. It entered the county at the northwest corner of the Town of Farmersville. It traveled through the villages of Franklinville, Ellicottville, Mansfield, Little Valley, New Albion and Conewango on its way to Mayville in Chautauqua County.
This series is intended to take you along this route.

The Beginning:
This small cache is your starting point,on Huyck Rd. It should be easy to find.

After signing the log and trading small items, head southwest on Huyck Rd. toward # 2 of the series. You may want to stop and cache in Farmersville State Forest if you haven't done so yet.
When Huyck Rd. ends, take Rt.98 southwest continuing on the 'Old Chautauqua Road' route. Here again you could make a side trip to cache in Bush Hill State Forest or Harwood Lake. Make sure to take the normal precautions durning hunting season.
From Rt. 98, make a left onto Kingsbury Hill Rd.,and head to #2 of the series.
