Geocache Description:

FTF Congrats to biojava!!

Did some maintenance today, 1-4-09. The cache is now a multi stage, multi cache, has two actual caches to swap swag in. The final stage now has room for swag along with the original log.

Wanted to do another multi and ended up with one that I am very satisfied with. Complete and you basically will have made a big loop. 6 stages, all but two caches should be a fairly easy find.
PLEASE TAKE CARE WHEN SEARCHING THE FINAL STAGE, THERE ARE LOW BRANCHES TO RUN INTO.
3mi RT, mostly no trail with a lot of rock hopping. Make it to stage 6 and you have well deserved your #5 difficulty. Be sure to bring PLENTY WATER, and a lunch might be nice.
Here is a good chance to get a 5 for your stats. There is a terrain trick, can be made a 3.5-4.0 should you figure it out. Took me 3 hours to plant the hides and run through it, I would guess that you can beat that.
.
A friend gave me this phrase which should be every-one's creed LNT-(Leave no Trace). Thanks ~eyesofice~
.
The first cache is a simple go to with a question that will get you to the next cache. Please take care in recovering it. Make it past stage one and you should be home free.
.
Each cache works the same way, you will have a question where you will use the answer to calculate the next point. All but one question is a date, and all have something to do with America. You will need to add a decimal point to the center of the year that you use for the calculation.
For instance, the year 2008 would be used as 20.08. The coordinate for the next cache will already be complete less the answer to the question, ie N 40° (??.??) W 122° 07.183 All answers will populate only the Northing decimal degrees N 40° (??.??) W 122° 07.183 For instance 20.08 x 0.8500 = 17.068 N 40° (17.068) W 122° 07.183 I somehow ended up with some extra decimals so round to the 3rd decimal, Instance 17.5399536 should be 17.540
Please e-mail me if this doesnt make sense. Hopefully it is not as confusing as I am making it sound. All questions should be easy, I am not a trivia buff so I tried to keep them as simple as possible. All but the stage 4 and the final stage are micro's.
.
Take a calculator, cell phone, pad and pencil. Hopefully it turns out as fun as I hope with great views to boot.
Man that is a long winded cache!
