A micro at an interesting feature in Mottram in Langdendale.
Local people may have heard a few different stories about "the frog" and recently a plaque has been erected with the "official" explanation to explain its origins. So have a look at the plaque and see if it rings true with what you have heard?
Whatever the origins, the frog is a quirky little feature of Tameside and long may it remain !
