Den Ort erreichst du von Rauris aus mit den eigenen Fahrzeug oder dem oeffentlichen Bus.
This location is reachable from Rauris by own vehicle or by public bus.

The Rocks


Auf deinem Weg von Rauris nach Kolm-Saigurn hast du die Moeglichkeit auf dem Parkplatz am 'Bodenhaus' eine Rast zu machen.
In der Naehe hast du die Moeglichkei ein erfrischendes Getraenk oder ein leckers Mahl zu bekommen. Ausserdem kannst du hier dem Goldrausch verfallen wie einst unsere Vorvaeter in frueher Zeit.
Vielleicht bist du der Goldwaescher der den groessten Goldnugget finde, waehrend Adler und Geier ueber deinem Kopf kreisen..

Aber der wahre Schatz ist eine Sammlung von Steinen in der Naehe der Mautstation.
An jedem Stein findest du eine Hinweistafel die Auskunft gibt ueber dessen Zusammensetzung und Aufbau.

Vor der Auffaltung der Alpen wurden die Ausgangsgesteine bei hohen Temperaturen und hohen Druecken in die heute vorliegenden Steine umgewandelt ( Metamorphose). Waehrend der darauf folgenden Auffaltung wurde der Zentralgneiskern durch die darueber liegenden Gesteinspakete der Schieferhuelle hindurch herausgehoben.

The Alps

English version:
If you are on the way from Rauris to Kolm-Saigurn you have the possibility to stop at the parking area  'Bodenhaus'.
Nearby you will have the pleasure to get a refreshing drink or delicious meal. Additionally you can  fall for the gold rush like our grandfathers in earlier days.
Perhaps you may be the gold washer who finds the biggest nuggets during eagles and vultures rotate above your head..

But the really treasure at this location is a collection of stones close to the road charge station.
At each of these stones you will find an information plate which explains the mixture and the structure.

Prior to the upfolding of the the Alps the origin stones had been changed to the current stones under high pressure and temperature (Metamorphose). During the following up folding the cetral gneiss core had been carried up through the beyond reclined stonepackages of the shale cover.
