In 1949, Garnett Turner built Fulks Run Grocery Store and Post Office. The basement of the store also housed the Green Valley Clinic until the present office was finished. The store is still operated by the Turner family and now is famous for its sugar-cured country ham. It is the only producer of sugar-cured country ham in the Shenandoah valley.
In 1955, the Turner family along with their friends began playing croquet beside the store. In 1992, a tournament-quality court was built in a flat section of field behind the store. The court has been used multiple times for the state competitions. If you come on a Sunday afternoon, you may be able to observe a family croquet game in play.
Cache is located in a fairly high traffic area. Muggles will be present at certain times.
