A very quick, easy and sometimes muddy cache. Extremely limited parking spaces at weekends.
(Oct 2011,,Two new parking spaces have been created just South of the bridge.)
A good parking spot for this cache is at N 55 57.811 W 004 20.576 This is where the WHW crosses the Kyber Pass Road, from here walk down to bridge.
This was the bridge used in Taggart episode 3, Knife Edge,(1986) A torso tied in a tartan rug was taken out of the boot of a beige Cortina and thrown from here into river, also a couple of miles up the same road towards Mugdock is the Craigend Visitor Centre,N 55 58.350 W 004 19.846 this stunning Georgian coachouse block was used in same episode, it was derelict at time of filming and is where the biker gang cornered DS Livingstone, then the famous kiss. Nice cafe there now for refreshments.
The area around the cache site can be muddy, boots would be a good idea, the cache is on the North side of river, to the left as you walk from parking.
Be sure to read clue as GPS reception may be restricted among trees.
