TOGORES
(CATALÀ)
Lloc documentat des del 985quan s'esmenta al Cartulari de Sant Cugat. És un conjunt format per l'ermita de Togores i la Masia de Can Pagès Vell. Possiblement el nom de Togores prové del llatí “tuguri” i feia referència a unes cabanes que servien per a aixoplugar-se. Està situat al mig d'una esplanada a la riba esquerra del riu Ripoll. La capella, construïda sobre les restes d’una antiga construcció romana, està dedicada a la Mare de Déu i a sant Abdó i sant Senén i ja és esmentada al 1323. La masia té un portal adovellat, de punt rodó. Modernament ha estat restaurada i ampliada. Va ser residència de donades que depenien dels benedictins de Sant Llorenç del Munt.
Amics de Togores organitza l'Aplec de Togores, generalment l'últim diumenge de maig: celebració eucarística, sardanes, cants corals, jocs infantils i acampada, etc.
Teniu dues opcions per arribar-hi:
1.- Deixeu el cotxe al pàrquing del Santuari de La Salut (N 41º 33. 843 E 002º 07.332) i anar caminant uns 3 Km per un camí planer pel mig del bosc. El punt d’inici del camí està senyalitzat.
2.- Anar en cotxe fins Togores. El camí no és molt bo però no cal 4x4. Un cop allà cercar el catxé per les rodalies.

It is a place documented since the year 985, when it is mentioned in the “Cartulari de St. Cugat” (Collection of maps). It forms a whole compound with the hermitage of Togores and the Masia (a Catalan farm) Can Pagés Vell. Perhaps the name of Togores comes from the Latin “tuguri” and it refers to some cabins that were used as shelters. It is placed in the middle of an esplanade, in the left shore of the Ripoll river. This chapel, built over the remains of an ancient Roman building, is dedicated to The Virgin Mary and Saints Abdon and Senen, and is already mentioned in 1323. The farm has a large doorway in round point. Recently the farm has been restaured and enlarged. It used to be a residence for women, attached to the Benedictins of St. Llorenç del Munt.
Friends of Togores organize l'Aplec of Togores (Togores meeting), generally the last Sunday of May: Mass, choral sardanas, songs, infantile games etc.
To arrive there you have two options:
1.- Leave your car in the parking of La Salut Sanctuary (N 41º 33. 843 E 002º 07.332) and walk about 3 Km by an easy way within the forest. The departure point is clearly marked down.
2.- To go by car to Togores place, road is not so good, but a 4x4 is not necessary. When you arrive look for the cache by the neighborhood there.
