Geocache Description:

This cache is located at an intersection, so caution must be used when locating this cache.

The once-thriving hamlet of Cootes Store lies where the fabled Shenandoah River flows below Route 259 in Rockingham County. The only visible sign alerting you to the location of the community is a state placard that bears the name on both sides. It is in the vicinity of this sign that you will find the cache. The cache is located along what I believe to be the shortest state route in Virginia, route 866. Parking near the cache may be difficult, but is possible. Please use caution. You will find only a log in the cache, so BYOP.
