Georgia Spirit Quest #7

"Myrtle the Turtle"

Myrtle Hill Cemetery, Troup County Hogansville Georgia.

This cemetery is an old and active cemetery that covers several acres of rolling land.

To find the geocache, park at the posted coords and look South West for James Taylor's marker, he is one of the oldest Vets in the yard.  Now walk 350ish feet North (staying on the gravel path) and look for John M. Robinson's stone, he is another older Vet in the yard.

John M. Robinson: Of Horse Creek, Mississippi. Mustered into service as a Private in Company L, transferred to Company B.  2nd Mississippi Infantry Regiment, U.S.V., Company B 1898-1899 Spanish war - Rosters Company B, 2nd Mississippi Infantry Regiment, United States Volunteers.

COMPANY B, 2nd Mississippi Infantry Regiment, United States Volunteers The Company was mustered into United States Service on June 1st, 1898, at Jackson, Mississippi, as Company B of the 2nd Mississippi Infantry Regiment, United States Volunteers, for two years service. The Company was mustered out of service with the Regiment on December 21st, 1898, at Columbia, Tennessee

Now to find the geocache.
The geocache is a preform hidden in trash found onsite.  To sign the log, you'll need to unscrew the lid to get to the preform.
BYOP
The geocache is 440 FT at 6.7 degrees from J.M. Robinson's marker. (project a waypoint for
accurate searching)

The geocache is not located near a grave. Do not disturb monuments. If you find a fallen U.S. flag, please stick it back in the ground, preferably next to a Vet’s Marker. As always, please be respectful. Please do not drive/park off of the cemetery's paths for several respectable reasons. This geocache is only available during day light hours, as it's illegal to be in cemetery's after dusk.

As with all of my geocaches, re-hide like/better than you found the geocache from the N-C's (Non-cachers) and please don’t give any advantages in your log so everyone as the same experience as the FTF. Please trade with "cool" SWAG, like signature items when trading even or up, nobody likes to find pine cones, happy meal toys or an empty geocaches.

**THIS IS A GENUINE GEORGIA SPIRIT QUEST GEOCACHE**
