Geocache Description:

This is a regular cache in Sprague Brook Park/County Forestry.

Did you know the Sprague Brook Park Trail continues on the south side of Foote Road? We recently discovered this section of Forestry and wanted to bring cache hunters out to experience this awesome area, too!

The challenge for this cache comes when you get within 100 feet of ground-zero. Well, it also depends on which route you take. Choose wisely and you’ll be rewarded.

Terrain is rated at a 2.5 because there are some gentle uphill climbs and off-trail navigation is necessary to get to the cache site. The excellent trail system is thanks to the local mountain bicycling association. You’ll be sharing the trails with the bikers for most of your hike, so keep an eye out and yield when necessary.

The cache is a small-medium Lock-N-Lock container. Please respect the natural area of the cache & try to hide as well as or better than you found it. Coordinate feedback is welcome. Enjoy your walk!

NOTE: Cachers should protect themselves from mosquitoes and mud. During hunting season, be careful, too – there’s private property adjacent to the Forestry and remnants of past hunting activity within it.

The park is accessible during the winter, but a significant coating of snow may make this cache a little tougher to find.
