For over 35 years, the soap opera Days of Our Lives has been playing weekly on NBC. This is our mother's/grandmother's favorite show and she still watches it regularly.
The show premiered in 1965 and revolved around the tragedies and triumphs of the suburban Horton family from Salem. It is still scheduled to run through the year 2010.
With the advent of VCR's, it providied the opportunity to tape every show and watch at night. While I never watched the show, I will always remember the distinctive opening scene of every show when my mom turned on the VCR to watch.
This cache is a dedication to this long running soap.
