This cache is located in the beautiful Vilas County Forest. Easy access to the area is via the Katie lake trail. Nearby Katie Lake is typical of many the minor seepage bog type lakes in the area. Go down and take a look around as this is a common wildlife area.
This is a winter and snowmobile friendly cache. As an avid winter enthusiast, I am hoping to generate some interest in keeping Geocaching alive in the winter.
This cache has the approval of Vilas County Forestry Department. All are reminded that this is located off of a well maintained forest road. During the winter this is an active snowmobile trail and wheeled vehicles are not allowed.
Cache is ammo can. Lots of goodies were originally loaded as well as FTF keepsakes.
