This hide lacks originality, style, or pizazz..none of which can
be said about it's namesake---Billie Jean King.
It doesn't matter how old you were or what your political bent
was, if you were one of the 90 million people that watched that
infamous tennis match on September 20, 1973 between Billie Jean
King and Bobby Riggs, your life was changed. Even if you didn't
view it, its ripple effect is probably being or has been felt in
your life and you might not have even realized it.
More than a tennis match, this "game" influenced me tremendously
as a 8-year-old 'tomboy'. Suddenly, the things I liked to do and
excelled at, were being done by a strong, lovely, woman with fierce
passion.
The following is a direct quote from Ms. King's website, in her
own words: If you watched the match, it had an impact on you. If
you were a young man and now you have daughters, it changed how you
look at things today. Now, you want to make sure your daughters
have the same opportunities as your sons. If you were a woman, the
match may have given you the strength to ask for a raise at work,
to hear your own voice and to be seen as an equal. The point is
what happened during a tennis match that night, had a much bigger
impact than most people thought it would.
So, when you are in the cache area, tip your hat to the tennis
