A quick Micro cache in our Miners Tribute series. Quite an interesting monument to the Bentinck Pit. The cache is not placed here for its picturesque quality but a quick cache & dash on good flat terrain. Only over looked by the cars on the road - which can be quite busy but should be easy enough.
The Miners Tribute Caches are a tribute to the Collieries, Mines or Pits of the local area. Most of the pits have now closed but where they once stood you can quite often see a monument to them due to the impact that they had on the local economy, bringing jobs and prosperity to the surrounding areas. We hope you enjoy this Tribute series.
