SALEM CEMETERY Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

BackpacknJack: This Geocache has been [ARCHIVED] by the cache owner.
I’m moving to Northern Arkansas so I will no longer be able to maintain my caches here in the Central and Southern parts of the State. I want to thank all the property owners and/or land managers for allowing me to place these. I’m very proud of our State and glad I have been a small part in showing off it’s parks, trails, small towns and backroads.
I hope everyone has enjoyed all the hunts - - and the 244 total finds.

Geocache Description:

You are looking for a micro and to solve the simple mystery you will need the above listed coords plus information you will find on a cemetery history plaque hanging inside the NE corner of the pavilion.

EDIT:
Toooooo many DNFs (over 20 already?) on this simple hide so removing everything but this>>> Find this line; ”IN 1840 THE COLE FAMILY BURIED TWO OF THEIR CHILDREN IN THE NORTH CENTRAL PART OF THE CEMETERY NEAR THE xx” CEDAR AND xx” GUM…….”
Now just add the width of the Cedar to the N. coords and the width of the Gum to the W. coords and you will find it.
*Don’t get confused by looking at the extensive surveyor plat on the right side, look for the listed line in the history*
But after you have found it maybe you would like to read the rest of the history of the cemetery and how it came to be and how it expanded. Typical history for most cemeteries in America but how many times have you ever seen this much effort spent in presenting it to you? (the plaque in the pavilion, not me.)
Congrats to FTF - "MathSeeker" !!
