Entrance to a shaft previously called the Harvey-Watt Shaft
This shaft was part of Libanon Gold Mine. which operated from 1934, Libanon and Venterspost Mine were combined in 1992 to become divisions of Kloof Mine, one of three divisions of Gold Fields Ltd Kloof gold mine.
The shaft was originally named after Harvey-Watt, a British mining engineer. Both Libanon and Venterspost Gold Mines have since closed down. This shaft however is still operational, now as part of Kloof Gold Mine, one of the richest mines on the reef.
The cache can be found just off the Jhb - Potch road at the entrance to the shaft. please be careful when exiting and entering the road, it is an 80 stretch however take care. It is pretty far from any security check point, the only stealth that may be required is for traffic in and out.
Small container with a log, toy soldier and a few tazzos. Please bring your own pen.
