Dead End Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

countrymatters: Cache has gone, but this area now has become rather grotty, and used for drinking and drugs according to the evidence I saw today. So, I don't want anyone going down there on my account.

Geocache Description:

DEAD END
The end of the A49

The first cache placed by 'countrymatters'. I've gone on to place over 100 now.

The cache is located along part of the former A49, at the edge of Bamber Bridge, not far from the M6 motorway.

There is a Pay and Display car park just to the north, at the entrance to Cuerden Valley Park, or you can often park just where the old road leaves the present one....if you're lucky.

NOTE: The terrain rating is set at 2.5 to reflect the fact that it is not accessible to anyone in a wheelchair, as brambles and shrubbery box in one end, and a great pile of railway sleepers blocks off the road at the other end. Apart from that, you're on solid ground.
