Geocache Description:

A fantastic view, easy to get to

This is now a microcache. There is no writing utensil in the cache, so bring your own and sign the log. This overlook is one of my all time favorites. There was a cache here until a wildfire took out all the trees. One of the few positive outcomes is that there are now no trees blocking the view of Hood River and the Columbia River. It is on a 1000 foot bluff, and is truly breathtaking.

The cache is near a pull-off on the Cook Underwood Road. The location is much closer to the eastern end of Cook-Underwood Road, which is accessible from Highway 14 just on the Portland side of the White Salmon River. If you've got time, do the entire 14 mile loop. The other end of Cook-Underwood Road is between Mileposts 56 and 57 on Hwy. 14. Look for the sign that says "Cook Willard and Willard Nat'l Fish Hatchery".
